Applicability
These policies apply to all Lindenwood colleges,
organizations, and departments, as well as any non-LU organizations hosting
events at Lindenwood University.
General use guidelines
All Lindenwood colleges, organizations, and
departments must use the Box Office for activities or events held on the LU
campus that requires an attendance fee.
If an event or activity is ticketed but does
not require an attendance fee, LU colleges, organizations, and departments may
choose to use the Box Office for tracking purposes.
Non-Lindenwood organizations must use the Box
Office for events in the Scheidegger Center if there is a fee to attend. Select
situations will allow organizations to opt out.
Operations
Location
The Lindenwood University Box Office’s permanent location is
inside the J. Scheidegger Center for the Arts on the Lindenwood University
campus. Satellite box offices may be set up in various locations on campus
throughout the year.
When staffing an event, the box office may be on site and
will be open at least 1 hour prior to the event start time. For Scheidegger
events the box office will be open two hours prior.
Business Hours
The Campus Box Office is open Tuesday through Friday from 12
PM to 4 PM and Saturdays from 10 AM to 2 PM. The Campus Box Office is closed
on Sundays and Mondays except for special event hours.
Events at the Scheidegger
All Scheidegger Touring Series events are ticketed. All
Lindenwood University Performing Arts shows are ticketed except for recitals.
Hours
The box office will be open two hours prior to every event
at the J. Scheidegger Center for the Arts. The box office closes directly after
intermission for every show or 30 minutes after the beginning if the show does
not have an intermission.
Will Call
Will call is available at or outside the box office before
every show. Unclaimed will call tickets are nonrefundable. Late arrivals with
will call tickets after the box office closes can pick them up from the house
manager.
Late arrivals
As a courtesy to fellow theater patrons and the performers,
late arrivals will be seated at the discretion of the house management at an
appropriate point in the performance.
Some performances do not allow late seating. Refunds are not
provided for late arrivals forced to miss the performance.
Arriving late to a performance may require you to sit in a
less desirable seat than the one you originally purchased. Refunds will not be
provided due to the inability to use your seats.
Athletic Events
Ticketed athletic events include basketball, football, and
gymnastics. Hockey is ticketed through the Centene Center box office.
Hours
The box office will be open one hour prior to every Lions
athletic event. The box office closes after halftime of any athletic event, or at
a specified stopping point.
Will Call
Will call is available at the box office until the box office
closes.
Late Arrivals
Arrivals after box office close will be admitted free of
charge.
Campus Events
Campus events will be ticketed at the discretion of box
office management and event organizers. Event organizers may also request to
have a mobile box office on site for the event.

Selecting Seats
When purchasing tickets to an assigned-seating event, you will be prompted to select your seats. Currently, only events in the Scheidegger Center require you to select your seats. When choosing your seats, you will be prompted to choose a space that does not leave any individual, non-aisle "orphan" seats open. For example, when selecting two seats, you cannot choose a space with three seats together.
Refunds
Refunds are not permitted except in the case of event
cancellation. If a refund is deemed to be necessary, it will be provided for
the face value of the ticket only. Service and handling fees are never
refundable.
Donate your tickets
Donating the value of your tickets is a great way to support
the arts if you are no longer able to attend an event. Your donation will be a
tax-deductible gift for the face value of the ticket. You are able to do this
self-service if you ordered online by visiting the “Your Orders” page and
selecting the order you will be returning. Click Return Without Refund, and you
will receive confirmation after your return of your donation.
You may also contact the box office by visiting in person or
calling 636-949-4433, and we can walk you through the donation process.
Ticket donations to the J Scheidegger Center for the Arts
can be used as a tax write-off to the extent allowable by law.
Event Cancellation
If an event is cancelled, patrons who paid online with a
credit card will be refunded in 7-10 business days. Patrons who paid with cash,
check, or a now-expired credit card, will receive a mailed check within 30
business days of the cancellation announcement.
Post-Event Refunds
All ticket sales are final. We do not offer refunds or
exchanges based on unmet expectations. We do not offer refunds or exchanges
after the event has been performed. If a patron was unable to attend an event,
we do not offer refunds or exchanges regardless of circumstances.
Scheduling Conflicts
Tickets are not refundable or transferrable if a patron is
no longer able to attend the show due to personal reasons. This includes flight
cancelations and transport failures.
Comp tickets
We do not provide refunds or exchanges for comp tickets or
tickets provided through other vendors under any circumstances, including event
cancellation.
Third-Party Ticket Vendors
The Lindenwood University Campus Box Office is the only
official vendor for performances at the J. Scheidegger Center for the Arts and
Lindenwood Lions athletic events. Tickets obtained from any other source cannot
be guaranteed because they may be counterfeit or otherwise invalid. Any
tickets acquired from a source other than the campus box office are purchased
at your own risk, are not refundable, and cannot be exchanged. Management
reserves the right to revoke any privilege of admission to any person who
possesses a counterfeit or invalid ticket.
