Proper theater attire is required for all performances.
Business casual is preferred for traditional performances while more casual
attire is acceptable for concerts. Front of house management may use their
discretion regarding inappropriate attire.
Small Children
Children ages five and up are welcome to attend performances
at the Scheidegger. If you have questions about the content of a performance
and the appropriateness for younger audiences, please call 636-949-4433.
For the continued enjoyment of your fellow patrons, we ask
that crying children and those that cannot remain in their assigned seats to be
escorted from the theater by their parents until they are able to quietly
return to their seats.

The St. Charles area has a variety of great restaurants in
all price ranges where patrons can dine before or after a show. A list of local
restaurants is available for interested patrons.

Series events. No outside food or drink is permitted into any theater. For
Touring Series performances, beer and wine is available for purchase.
Please bear in mind that most intermissions are 15

tickets. Please do not rest your legs or feet on the seat or rails in front of
you. For the safety of others, please keep all personal belongings under your
seat and out of the aisles.
Late Arrivals
As a courtesy to fellow theater patrons and the performers,
late arrivals will be seated at the discretion of the house management at an
appropriate point in the performance.
Cameras, Cell Phones, and Recording Devices
For most performances, the use of recording devices and
flash photography is prohibited. Camera policies vary by event and are
determined solely at the discretion of the show’s performers. Some performers
welcome audiences to use mobile devices to share their experiences on social
media.
Mobile devices should be silenced prior to the start of the
performance. When permitted by the performers, we encourage patrons to share
their experiences with us on social media but we ask guests to wait until after
the show or during intermission to avoid disturbing other audience members.

University campus, including in or around the J. Scheidegger Center for the
Arts.
In Case of Emergency
Should an emergency arise during a performance in any
theater within The J. Scheidegger Center for the Arts, please calmly make your
way to the green exit sign closest to your seat, which indicates the shortest
route out of the theater. Should you need to be contacted during a performance,
please leave your telephone number and seat numbers with a Box Office associate
prior to entering the theater.
